Patricia has been a full time stylist for over eight years. Her specialty is hair color and hair cutting. While designing your style to compliment your personal needs, she will educate you on how to keep your hair healthy and beautiful. I appreciate the fact that she recommends small changes to keep my look current and up-to-date and she would be just as eager to accommodate bigger changes if I requested them.

My first visit to Plum Studios was excellent. Patricia is amazing! I went in for a cut and highlights and absolutely love my hair. Patricia and I talked for awhile about what I wanted and she truly delivered. Anyone that wants blond highlights, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Patricia. I have had my hair highlighted for 20+ years and NEVER have I had such a soft, natural look. I will be back! Thank you Patricia and Plum Studios!

I highly recommend Patricia!
I’ve been with Patricia for almost 2 years and she’s wonderful! She always does a great job on my blond highlights… which she did before my wedding. And she always cuts my hair exactly the way I ask… never an inch more, especially important with long hair. Plus, I let her cut layers in my hair; which I don’t trust just anyone with. She did an amazing job! I highly recommend her!
As for the salon, it’s nice, clean, and in a great location

I have been a client of Patricia for over 6 years. I like to change styles and color pretty frequently and Patricia gives me great ideas and advice about how to change it up. Sometimes, she’ll say, “I’ve been thinking about your hair and you could try this…” Really? You think about my hair? I love this woman!
She really cares about her clients and is genuinely a wonderful person. Not only do I recommend her highly, but I’ve recommended her to my friends and family over and over.

I always go see Patricia at Plum Studios. I’ve been going to her for over 5 years and I love my hair. She does my cut and color and it always looks amazing! No one would ever know that I’m not naturally this blonde (shh!)
It’s so nice to have a stylist who knows what I want, but can change it up for me if I need something different. Patricia is efficient and thorough and I always feel amazing after seeing her. She’s been so flexible with my schedule and always finds a way to squeeze me in. She also remembers to grab me the latest US Weekly or People so I can catch up on gossip with her. I don’t know what I’d do without her!
Plum Studios has a great atmosphere and is in a great location off of Burlingame Ave. I’m very pleased with all the staff, they’re so friendly and attentive. It’s not far from a Starbucks and House of Bagels which is also a plus!

I told her what I wanted (low lights–with a natural look) and she magically chose highlights/lowlights that blended naturally with my hair! FYI: I’ve been coloring my hair for a few years (my hair is naturally dark blond) but I wanted a more subtle look with highlights/lowlights! Can’t wait to go back!

yelp2-13-11-I’ve been a long-time, avid fan of Di Pietro Todd salons (Palo Alto especially), but as of lately, I’ve found the pricing of services there to be a little more than I’m willing to pay.
With the help of Yelp and excessively long hair (wayyyy overdue for a cut!), I was paired with hair designer Patricia Quinn at Plum Studios Salon this fateful Saturday morning.
I love feeling understood and educated about the goals of my haircuts and the techniques used to achieve them. Patricia provided just that for me during my time with her. Articulating extremely well why she was doing what she was doing, while simultaneously reiterating me the desires I had for my own cut, Patricia provided me with a fresh, flawless experience!
Take it from a girl that is very high-maintenance about her hair (and has paid upwards of $150 for a cut)–I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back to Patricia. She’s VERY detail-oriented, sweet, and talented. You can tell she has a huge passion for what she does.

Patricia is the best! If you want blond highlights YOU must have her do them. She has super powers. When Patricia does my highlights, they look totally natural. She does them the most beautiful baby blond! I will never let anyone else highlight my hair again!!!
PS: Make an appointment so you can see her new station upstairs, and book your next appointment as you leave, it is hard to get “squeezed in” because Patricia is so busy.

This review is for Patricia. I had a hair cut with her, and she gave me a really good cut! What I liked about her is that she was so meticulous (she was constantly cross-checking). We also had a good conversation prior to starting so that we were on the same page. The good communication continued throughout the cutting process because as she’s cutting, she’s letting you know what she’s doing and why.
Did I mention she’s super nice? Patricia is very sweet and her station is upstairs, so with nice weather, it was great up there… the view, breeze… all in all, I was very happy with my cut!

Patricia is the best hairstylist I think I have ever had. In addition to calling me to remind me of future appointments she also takes last minute up do’s or blowouts. I use her for my color and she always listens and consistently delivers. It is downtown Burlingame so parking isn’t a dream but getting to this salon is worth any walk. Patricia is not only my hairstylist but she does my whole family. My dog usually rests in my lap at appointments and when I go under the dryer she takes my dog for a walk…does you hairstylist do this? I never feel rushed and usually a trip to Plum is relaxing. Plus you leave with great hair. I sent a friend here for thermal hair straightening and although I don’t think she had Patricia she was very very happy.

Went in today for a haircut for me and my brother and we were warmly received, front desk was very nice and the hairstylist was even nicer.
Our hairstylist was Patricia and she was amazing…definitely knows what she is doing, very warm, and took her time to make sure she knew wat we wanted. Loved it, great experience, love the results and i’m definitely going back to see Patricia!!!
